DAYBROOK BAPTIST CHURCH
MEGA QUEST
SEARCHING TO FIND OUT WHO JESUS IS

This was our most recent outreach which was absolutely super. Members of our leadership team joined by Colin Draper from the Scripture Union visited local Primary Schools to invite children to come along to church for a whole week searching to find out who Jesus is .
We all arrived good and early and joined our relevant groups to be welcomed and accounted for then we started by doing an activity from a number of choices on offer. We then went off to our workshops to either make music , chocolate truffles , potato painting, games  or drama
We moved round each day so we all had an opportunity to have a bash at everything going. . Then we went into church where Colin told us a bible story and showed us some magic .We had a yes/no interlude and sang some super songs. We all had a really, really good time and we are now doing a finding out more about Jesus on the first Sunday of each month. So do come along and have a good time with us.

The sun shone every day so we were able to play our games outside
We all had a go at making shakers out of empty crisp cartons and filling them with rice and a whole host of other small objects, so that we could make our own music and rap. We did potato painting
we had drama workshops and we had our resident drama group made up of teenagers from our church they called the group FRIENDS .They gave us a real helpful message each day.

We made chocolate truffles I'll let you into a little secret, the grown up's and the teenagers that were helping made most mess.
  • We made paper hats and  boats, then we had a go to see if our boats would float.

Each group made a collage of Jesus calming the sea . This one was created by a group which called themselves.
