This will be a straightforward knockout competition to Antweight World Series rules in a covered arena. Depending on the number of entries, the number of ants-per-person may need to be limited in order to make organisation simpler and/or prevent the competition taking all day to complete.
The Sumo ring will be 400mm diameter and 50mm high, with a (minimum) 150mm wide walled "gutter" all round. There will be no cover.
No weapons allowed! This is a straight pushing match. All "active" weapons (saws, flippers, axes etc) must be disabled. Extra scoops, skirts etc may be added as long as the total weight of the robot does not exceed 150g (225g for walkers). Sharp edges must be covered with insulation tape or similar.
Fights will last 2 minutes, the winner is the robot that pushes its opponent out of the ring. If both robots are still in the ring at the end, the judge will decide the winner.
The Pinball arena will be approx 600 mm x 1200 mm, with a variety of obstacles and targets, based on the "Robot Wars" toys. There will be no cover.

Each competitor will have 90 seconds to complete as much of the course as possible, points will be awarded for each obstacle/target. The winner will be the competitor with the most points, or the fastest time to gain maximum points if the entire course is completed.
Note: The course will be designed for the majority of Ants, which fit into a 4" cube in their running configuration. Ants which expand under remote control may not be able to take part in this event unless they can run in their "folded" state.
To be held in the covered arena after the knockout competition. As many Ants as possible are placed in the arena, with the winner being the last Ant still running! There is no time limit to this melee!
