Disabled Access
|
|
|
We
have two designated disabled parking bays, and are pleased to assist
any disabled visitor to our club.
Our bar and club house is upstairs,
and we are in the process of opening a downstairs bar and catering
outlet. The pitches all have easy access, although the new Sheepwalk
pitches are a short distance from the club house.
If you would like assistance when
visiting Biggleswade Rugby Club please phone ahead to the club

Biggleswade Rugby club follows the guidelines
outlined by the RFU. The
following information links us to the RFU website and outlines the
necessary procedures and policies.
The
information contained in this section is aimed to assist and guide
you on the Rugby Football Union’s Ethics and Equity procedures.
The RFU
and RFUW have a moral and legal obligation to ensure that, when given
responsibility for young people, coaches and volunteers provide them
with the highest possible standard of care.
Through
the implementation of a policy for the Welfare of Young People in
Rugby, and the support of its coaches and volunteers, the RFU/RFUW
alongside a growing number of governing bodies, will maintain the
professionalism and safeguards of good practice which are associated
with the game.

Biggleswade
Rugby Club was founded in 1949 . The club runs upto four senior sides
together with Vets, mini, youth and colts sides.
|
|
Tuesday’s
and Thursday’s 7.00 for a 7.30 start at the Langford Road Clubhouse.
All
players past and present are welcome along with any newcomers wishing
to commence or resume playing or even those just wishing to get a
little fitter.
|
|
All
players should note that Biggleswade Rugby Club is a member of the
Rugby Football Union Insurance scheme. This covers only death or very
serious injury. Any further insurance is the responsibility of
individual players. Further information is available from Simon Rutt.
There are also leaflets available in a box on the bar at the
clubhouse.

First XV is playing this season (2006/7)in Midlands 4 East (South).

2006/7 season our 2nds and 3rds
will be playing in The Greene King Country Rugby Clubs Competition
for the third season.

N.B. Player selection. The club policy regarding the
contact of players after selection has been changed. Captains should
inform players who are selected. After each match players
should still be asked if they are available for the following
week.

The
clubhouse is well equipped with a bar, lounge, a tennis court and
four squash courts. The facilities are available for letting Contact
