Ever fancied a spot of camel riding? I was quite surprised to be honest at how tame they were here and also how they did’nt smell quite as rank, as I thought they would.
So why not give it a go they are on the dunes of Maspalomas (See Maspalomas map for where).
How about looking for dolphins and whales. This was a 2 hr trek ten miles into the Atlantic ocean but for a chance to see these creatures it was worth it. You may have heard about the Water parks in Gran Canaria, so why not spend some time messing around in the water at Aqua land Maspalomas. (Tel-928 140 525) this is on the outskirts of the town. Or if you fancy going a lil further afield the is Palmitos park-Maspalomas (Tel-902 114 993) Where you’ll find all kinds of weird and wonderful wildlife. Including a few monkeys!!!
Now this I feel is a must. One of the most popular trips on the island is to Sioux city. An authentic movie set western town. Included in the price was food BBQ style, Live show, shooting cowboys, saloon shows and last but not least as much beer, wine, spirits as you can drink. Believe me its worth just going for that. The show we saw were excellent with knife throwers (felt soz for the women he threw them at-definite grounds for divorce), cattle, horses, cancan dancers, stunts and gun fights. I would go if you get the chance its well worth the money.
