we would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about ourselves so that you can help spread the word.
Q: What is Ark, the Ark movement and the Ark collective?
A: the “Ark” and the “Ark movement” is the name taken to describe a diverse set of
people and groups who take a common stand of readiness towards global change. This has been described by some as a change in theologies of resistance from that of “David and Goliath” to one of “Noah”. The common thread that ties these individuals together is the knowledge that it is more productive to a build sustainable life than to attack a system that is in essence self-destructive.
A: The Ark collective is a growing number of groups from within the Ark movement who have put political and minor theological differences aside in order to create a grass roots network of cooperation.
Q:What global change? Why are they so worried, resistance to what?
A: Well, that’s a lot of big questions and to answer them fully you will have to either talk to one of our representatives or do some research of your own; we would suggest recent writing by James Lock and James H Kunstler as a good starting point but here’s a brief breakdown:
Peak Oil;
Within 5 to 25 years we will hit peak oil production. This means the system that controls the very fabric of our lives is about to go into turmoil as the cheap energy that we have come to rely on becomes increasingly expensive. This will have repercussions in every
aspect of our lives, including:
A massive rise in the cost of produce and products as transportation costs rocket.
Increased global political instability as fighting over the remaining resources becomes
increasingly violent.
A massive rise in the cost of energy as the cost of its production, currently predominantly
carbon based, rockets.
The Co2 Tipping Point;
We are fast approaching (some have argued past) a tipping point in global Co2 levels, where a chain of environmental processes cause an exponential increase in Co2 levels and its associated global heating. This means:
Increasingly unstable weather patterns leading to a massive global decrease in agricultural capacity.
Rising sea levels, further reducing the human carrying capacity of the earth. Change in the oceanic conveyers, making larger areas inhospitably cold and others dry and arid.
Q: So what does all this mean?
A: Well, again, that’s another big question. But it could be summed up as this:
The end of life as we know it;
The convergence of these and many other global issues will lead to a world where:
Global political structures break down as war over resources increase.
Global trade breaks down, the cost of transportation rockets and the means of production drastically falls.
There is a massive global exodus as large areas of land become unable to sustain human civilisation.
Q:My God, if all this is true what can I do about it?
A: Well first off, don’t panic. Even though these events will happen in one form or another and you can’t stop them, a disaster is not the event itself but the impact that the event has.
By adjusting to the forthcoming events now, your lifestyle will not change as the world does.

Q:So what is ARK-INC. anyway?
A: ARK-INC. are representatives of the Ark movement.
We are comprised of practitioners, facilitators and elected representatives from many ark collectives.
Our primary purpose is the progression of the Ark movement and the values it holds. As such we act as chosen intermediaries between registered collectives and potential
members. For those who are new to Ark we can offer a number of products and services to help your integration into Ark, raise your intrinsic value as a member and facilitate your
investment in the future.
Q:What is intrinsic value? And how on earth can I invest in the future if we are all doomed?
A: Well, first off let me repeat that a disaster is not the event itself but the impact that the event has.
Intrinsic value is the value that is intrinsic to a subject or an object as it relates to its
external environment. But perhaps it’s best explained within the context of ‘intrinsic’ and ‘abstract’ value. Abstract value, or classical economics as it is better known, is the abstraction of a subject into a representation of that value. Just have a look at the next bank note you see. Chances are it will say something along the lines of “I promise to pay the bearer of this note...”. The problem is that, when the economic system collapses, all you are left with is a lot of I.O.U’s with no-one to pay you.
When you recognise this you can begin to invest in your intrinsic value, and we can offer
a number of products and services to help you do this.
Q: How do I track my value?
A: You can track your intrinsic value against the paradigm index.
Q:What’s the paradigm index and how do I track my value against it?
A: To fully understand the paradigm index and how to track your value against it we would recommend a consultation with one of our representatives or take a look at the book “From Abstract to Intrinsic; Calculating Value Shifts in the 21st Century and Beyond, Ark-inc publications.
But here is a brief overview:
The paradigm index is a calculation of many global factors into an index between 0 and 10. 0 being the complete sustainability and 10 being complete global collapse.Of course it’s a little more complex than that but that’s the basis.
You can track your value against the paradigm index by investing in products and skill sets that are designed for a specific index rating. As you track the progression of the index
towards that paradigm rating, the value of your products and skill sets increase.
This in-turn will increases your value and appeals to Ark collectives.
