The Stroke Club
The Stroke Club is a club for people of all ages who have had a stroke.
It provides facilities for recreation and an opportunity to meet one another and to
relieve their carers for a few hours. They have a group of helpers and a baking rota
and meet on Thursday mornings every week in the small hall.
They play games such as Scrabble and Dominoes.
Some of the people sit and chat to each other.
They also have coach outings to places like Clumber Park, Chatsworth and Rutland Water
and in recent years have also had holidays away together.
At Christmas the members enjoy a Christmas lunch followed by entertainment.
