St. Andrew's with Castle Gate United Reformed Church
The St. Andrew's with Castle Gate church choir sings an anthem at morning worship almost every week throughout the year. In addition to this there are two special annual musical events in church. One is the service of Nine Lessons and Carols on the Sunday evening before Christmas and the other is a presentation of Passiontide music or a Passiontide Oratorio given on Palm Sunday morning.
Choir concert
From time to time the choir prepares concerts with a mix of religious and secular music for a special event or on behalf of a particular charity.
The choir practices every Thursday evening thoughout most of the year under the direction of our choirmaster, Jerry Morris, and accompanied by our church organist, Madeline Allington.
