Why untitled? simply because I never gave it one when I painted it in 1989 and it doesn't seem important now.

Why include this seemingly simple painting?  I believe it's my best work, I still remember during the evening after I had painted it, returning a number of times to my studio and asking myself, where has this one come from?

Influences:- Andrew Wyeth,  American artist who seems to have more than his fair share of criticism, why ?, envy perhaps?, he can certainly paint a bit. Look behind his wonderful major Egg Tempura and Dry brush Watercolour works to his sketches and watercolour studies, it's these I find the most interesting and informative.
