Watercolour,  imperial, Arches 300 pound not.

My first washes are applied to a fairly damp surface using warm colours, perhaps Raw and Burnt Sienna and a little Ultramarine and Alizarin, after the first washes are dry I switch to a limited palette for the bulk of the painting. I enjoy painting hens, but being honest the main reason is to introduce a small amount of Red into the painting.

Influences:- Philip Jamison and his book 'Capturing Nature in Watercolour' I believe that too much has been written about 'how to in watercolour' this American artist wrote one of the best, to prove the case try getting hold of a copy!
