At the installation on Saturday the 18th November 2006 Past Master/Depute Master Bro. Thomas M Lauder was presented with a diploma BY SPGM The Rev. Gordon B. Armstrong in recognition of his 58 years as a mason and 50 years as a past master of Lodge Ballater. Bro. Lauder was the first Initiate into Lodge Ballater to be installed as Master and was master of the Lodge 1956/1957 David B. Lang P.M. It is my sad duty to announce that Past Master Brother David B Lang Passed to the grand lodge above in March 2005 David was master of the lodge in 1958-59, served as the lodge secretary for 25 years and was an Honorary Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow Senior Deacon. David was a staunch supporter of Lodge Ballater and he will be sadly missed by its brethren.
