What a kind gesture that Sharon should nominate Lisa for the Mayor of
Erewash Award. As was reported in the Derby Evening Telegraph on Tuesday
the10th of May 2005 Lisa has given 21 years of service to L.E.S.P.B. and
without her true dedication when the band membership was in decline it

Well done guys! I was rooting for you all, and when the results were read
out I could see how much it meant to you all. The sight of Sharon in tears
and celebration will stay with me for a long time and you guys really

I had a great time at the weekend, and coming 2nd was a great! (won't
forget Carl's "outfit" at the party either!) I just wanted to
write a message to thank the band for all their hard work, I feel that
the band really worked together and that's why we did so well. Team effort

Just wanted to say well done for the weekend. Look at what you have achieved
in such a short space of time rather than looking at the fact you didn't
win. At the end of the day, all contest placings are down to one or two
interpretations and views on the band. At Matlock we have the thoughts
of getting blind drunk if we win and getting blind drunk if we lose.....
it works for us and a party is always guaranteed! Which brings me onto

Well now I have found the guest book thought I had better leave something
here! When I found out that the band had come 3rd at the area I was in
the pub (no great surprise there!) and to be honest I was close to blubbing
tears of happiness. With Long Eaton being my 'home' band and having played
there as a youngster it was fantastic news. I only wish I could have seen
Lisa pick up that trophy... then again, I certainly would have been in
tears if I had! Best of luck in preparing for the finals, I'll see you
all at Crich if not before and of course should you ever need a dep feel
free to ask :-) As for my current band, Matlock, the last couple of years
have been difficult for them and they are going into the fourth section
next year. The band is gaining strength now though and attracting some
