Prices, Letting Periods, Booking Form & Booking Conditions

(Prices displayed on this website are for BOOKINGS DIRECTLY through Pam and Geoff.  Alternatively bookings should be made through our agent, English Country Cottages, on www.english-country-cottages.co.uk, the cottage reference is ILD).

NOTE: "DIRECT BOOKINGS" made within 2 weeks of the holiday start date are discounted. Holidays booked DIRECTLY, anytime outside the High Season periods, are also discounted. Returning guests should contact us for a discounted price.

Weekly Basis

Weekly Basis is from 15:00 hrs on Saturday to 10:00 hrs the following Saturday.

Rental charges are based on a one-week stay, and two week rental periods are available. 

To secure a booking we require a non-returnable £25 deposit at the time of the booking and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. For bookings within 6 weeks of the holiday start, the full cost is required.

Short Stay Basis

We are able to accomodate short stay holidays as long as the cottage is not booked for the adjacent weeks, depending on how long you want to stay.  The periods can be 2 or 3-day weekend breaks or 4-day mid-week breaks.  Please contact us if you wish to arrange a short break stay.

Short break stays start from 15:00hrs on the start day to 10:00hrs on the leaving day.  However, we may be able to be more flexible if the cottage is not booked.  The cost of a short stay break can be seen in the PRICES information on this website.

Booking Information Required  (Refer to the Booking Form)

When booking the cottage please supply a postal address, contact telephone number(s) and names of accompanying persons.  Also please provide the number of cars that will be parked at the cottage and any special requirements (cots, highchairs, stairgates etc…). Please state whether you will be bringing a pet.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

The information in this website has been complied as accurately as possible.

1)   In the event of the owner canceling your booking the owner will refund you all monies paid.

2)  The holidaymaker undertakes to keep the premises and all furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the premises in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the holiday and also undertakes to leave the premises in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found. The owner of the holiday property should be compensated for any damage and breakages, which may occur (fair wear and tear excepted).

3)   The number of persons using the holiday property is not to exceed the maximum number stated in the property information sheet.

4)   Jasmine Cottage is a no-smoking cottage.

5)   One well-behaved pet is allowed and please inform the owners.

6)   The owner of the holiday property or his representative is to be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy.

7)   If the holidaymaker finds it necessary to cancel the holiday before the final balance is due he should inform the owner immediately who will then endeavor to re-let the property. If the property is re-let then all deposit monies paid will be returned less a handling charge of £15.00. If the property is not re-let then all the monies paid are forfeited.

8)   If the holidaymaker finds it necessary to cancel the holiday after the final balance becomes due, whether or not the final balance has been paid, unless the cottage is re-let the holidaymaker will be liable for the full cost of the holiday. If the property is re-let all monies paid will be returned less a handling charge of £50.00.

9)   If, after the owner has issued a confirmation you wish to change the dates of your holiday, then you will be liable to pay a rearrangement fee of £25 per week booked, any such rearrangement being subject to availability. IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO RE-ARRANGE YOUR HOLIDAY LESS THAN SIX WEEKS BEFORE IT IS DUE TO COMMENCE.

10) If you are not satisfied with the holiday property then please report any complaints immediately to the owners.  Complaints not reported during occupation of the rented premises but subsequently confirmed by letter, email or telephone call to the owner, cannot be entertained. "This does not affect your Statutory Rights as a consumer".

12) It is regretted that no correspondence can be entered into in the case of complaints made upon departure or after you return home, when it will surely be appreciated that it is quite impossible for the problems to be effectively investigated or corrected.

13) Payment of the balance of the total cost of the holiday is due 6 weeks before the date on which the holiday is to commence.
