The Island of Kos
The main focal point being the very busy Harbour
And the Netatzia Castle ( 141437)
The Harbour isEqually enjoyed by Fishermen and Tourists alike
Such a pretty and peaceful place to spend the evening
A' local' dreaming rather than fishing
Fishermen do all their work alongside the Quayside
Fishermen bait up thousands of hooks per day
Whilst others prepare their catch for sale
With Octopus being a favouite
Once caught they are tenderised on the Quayside
Many Hydrofoils offer daily trips to Bodrum (Turkey)
Larger Boats tout for business along the Busy Quayside
Over 2,400 years ago Hippocrates planted this Tree
And is now a National Treasure !!
Walking the town is like going back in time
With Squares and alleyways everywhere
But the footpaths are never used as such !!
Stunning Church Architecture in Kos commercial centre
A lovely old lady I met
Who spends all her days cleaning the Marble Pavements
A trip to Paradise Bay
Took us along some stunning clearwater inlets
And even More Magnificent Churches ( Tigaki)
Kardamaine Harbour
The Village barber plays the violin to attract custom
And even came out to pose for me ..
Evening over Kos harbour
And over the still Hydrofoils
