Glen Etive Hills

The Glen Etive hills are a fantastic range stretching from Bridge of Orchy to the start of Glencoe offering brilliant expeditions.  Although virtually neighbours to Glencoe the Glen Etive Hills are much less craggy but much quieter.  River Ba is much talked about in hill walking books I have yet to find out why must have some history behind it, just looks like a burn to me.  Two good bases for these hills can be used in fact three.  Kingshouse can be used in the north end like that for Glencoe offering brilliant free camping.  Bridge of Orchy in the South of the region like wise offers free camping on the river, in the middle you can also camp at Inveroran. (of course theres a lot of wild camping in Glen Etive itself but this is bandit country, wouldn't catch me camping in there without a sawn off shot-gun-tucked underneath my pillow !)
