Arrochar Alps

The "Arrochar Alps" are situated in the Tarbet to Arrochar area and dominate both sides of Loch Lomond.  They house Ben Lomond probably the most popular Munro apart from Ben Nevis due to it being a such short drive from Glasgow attracts the weekend Wegies.  These are the most southern Munros and therefore the area I tackled first.  Another hill in the area is the ever popular "Cobbler" (Ben Arthur) which falls just short of making Munro status but taking the title of a well earned Corbett (2500ft - 3000ft) which can be integrated with your Munros.  To get to all these hills apart from Ben Lomond you have to drive up the infamous A82 which as one of my fellow climbers once said "There's no morality on the A82, its every man for himself" well said !
