Definition of words
Buyer-
the person or business named in the purchase
Seller- the person or business to which the purchase is
issued to
Actikarate Ltd
Goods-
all items to be supplied and all work to be done by the seller as
specified in the purchase order including training, consultation and
coaching of staff through workshops and other resource training
designs and materials
The Contract-
the arrangement between buyer and seller, comprising the purchase
order, these conditions and any other documents specified within the
agreement
Invoicing and Payment
Actikarate
Ltd will
typically invoice the client on a weekly basis for all
training
and
consultancy
work carried out.
Payment should be within 7 days of receipt of invoice and Actikarate
Ltd reserve the right to impose a surcharge for
any late payment of invoices.
Cancellations
Once
contracts have been signed
Actikarate
Ltd reserve the right
to impose a cancellation fee, if the project is subsequently
cancelled. This will be set at the following notice period &
rates:

The
cancellation of a course must be submitted in writing to
Actikarate at the address on the website.
Consequential Loss
Actikarate
Ltd
cannot be
held liable for consequential loss deriving from a product, service
or training workshop that fails to perform, or is not up to
standard.
Actikarate
Ltd
members are required to take out an annual membership to the
Association and termination of membership or renewal is
dependent on the conduct of the student throughout their training. A
licensed student is allowed to practice karate. Without this they
cannot exercise the privileges of training in any Actikarate
club.
Karate Licence
Application & Renewals
It is the responsibility
of the student / parent to ensure that all karate
practitioners have an up to date Karate License. This gives
the student vital insurance cover for the safe practice of karate
and registration to the Association (Actikarate Ltd). A 7 day cooling
off period is afforded to the applicant from the date of the
application to terminate membership in writing to receive a refund. This is
not refundable after this period as membership is effective.
(The Annual Fee is 10.00 GBP)
Termination of Membership
Actikarate
Ltd reserves the right to terminate the membership of any of
its students who in our opinion do not meet the standards for
effective Karate practice. This includes conduct unfitting by
parents in the instance of minors.
Association Badges
Actikarate
Ltd
requires its members to wear an association badge. This is to be
worn on the left hand side of the Karate Gi.
Delivery
& Postage Costs
Actikarate Ltd provides the customer
with postage options. Products are dispatched via Royal Mail 1st
Class, 2nd Class, or Royal Mail Standard International Delivery.
(Customer can choose which option to apply) We deliver
Worldwide. Please email for more postage options.
Prices & Payments
The total cost of your order will be the price of the products you
order, the applicable delivery charge. All these will be set out
clearly in your Shopping Basket before you submit your order.
Privacy Policy
Data collected by this site is used to:

c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery

Fees
Fees
charged for a particular contract are subject to change These will depend on the
complexity, length and location of the work undertaken.
For
schools the course fee is payable within the first 2 weeks of term starts
dates and payment can be made securely online or by cheque
payable to 'Actikarate Ltd'. Grading costs is
incorporated into the term fees. (This covers certification,
registration and examination).
Service
Training and development giving advice
and delivering workshops tailor made for your business / school subject to
the Terms and conditions outlined within this document. The training
content is covered within the internationally published books
Defending Against Attack Series incorporating blocks, punches and
kicks initially static training - no contact. As grade increases
controlled contact training is introduced and monitored.
Liability Insurance
Actikarate
Ltd
is indemnified for both Employers Liability
Insurance and Public Liability Insurance.
Proof of policy and amounts will be supplied to clients during
negotiation of contracts. The schools hold documentation on all
instructors who teach, instruct on the premises for Karate.
Confidentiality
Actikarate
Ltd throughout
the consultation and training period may see items like materials,
designs or drawings, which you regard as commercially sensitive.
Actikarate agrees that handling such information is
confidential and no details will be disclosed to any third parties
without the express permission of your business. Binding
Actikarate not to reveal, reproduce or distribute them to third
parties and to take reasonable care to safeguard them.
Variation
No addition to or variation of these conditions
will bind the company, Unless it is specifically agreed in
writing and signed by the director of the company. No agent or
person employed by or under contract with the company has the
authority to alter or vary these conditions in any way.
Actikarate
Ltd
is Enhanced CRB Qualified and checks are carried out regularly on
all instructors to ensure Child Protection Policy is adhered to and
strictly enforced. A copy of the child protection policy is
available from this website.
Media
On a regular basis
Actikarate Ltd is involved in DVD filming, photo shoots for books /
websites, including press coverage both on local and national level
including newspapers. If a parent would like to exclude their child
from any of the above- it is the responsibility of the parent to
inform the instructor as soon as possible. We will mention any
projects prior to commencing, but sometimes media coverage is
spontaneous and unavoidable.
Merchandise Availability & Refunds
Actikarate Ltd uses several wholesalers
to operate the Webstore. However from time to time stock is depleted
at source and typically we will try to replace stock by using an
alternative wholesaler. In this instance items purchased will be new
and to the exact if not better specification. Actikarate can accept
returns within 7 days of purchase.
Refunds and exchanges can only be made for goods that are returned
with the original packaging, unworn, unused and unwashed.
Returns Policy
& Tournament Policy
If you need to return all/part of your order for
size/item exchange, please return to Actikarate Ltd, 55 Shortmead
Street, Biggleswade, Beds. SG18 0AT, United Kingdom. Return Carriage
will be charged at £5.25 per parcel in UK for exchanges. Please
ensure that your cheque in payment of these charges is enclosed with
your returns and that your cheque guarantee card number is written
on the reverse. Include a copy of the Invoice together with your
further instructions for exchange.
Tournament Registration is payable online and is non-refundable due
to administration costs involved in setting up and organising for
the event. |
