02.05.09  The Honker II just about complete:

17.03.09  New project underway, the Honker II Can-Am car.

This is a Classic fibre glass shell.  Initial cleaning up opened a few holes in the shell which have been filled with epoxy resin for strength.  Car body filler will be used to finish.

The chassis is being made from PCB.  Here it is marked out for cutting along with the motor/back axle unit:

05.09.08  Now that the scratchbuilt RA272 is complete and has it's own write up I have removed and tidied up some of the entries in this section.

23.08.08  Round 3 of the 2008 UK 1.5 litre proxy invitational took place at Midford Combe earlier today.  Graham's BRM took its third win in a row with Bryan and Charlie's BRMs second and third respectively.  My own BRP-BRM was fourth. Graham now leads the championship from Bryan by 15 points with Charlie third, a further point behind.  The updated championship table can be found here.

16.08.08 The proxy cars are now at Midford Combe ready for round 3.  Here are a couple of photgraphs of Alan's scenic track ahead of the race planned for the weekend of the 23rd August.  Firstly, Alan's Lotus 18 leads Charlie's BRM:

And another of Alan's cars, a 4cylinder Porsche again pictured with the BRM:

Alan's website can be found here.

06.08.08  Round 2 of the 1.5litre Proxy took place at The Valley Raceway.

Graham's BRM made it two wins from two, the full race report can be found here.

23.07.08  The 2008 UK 1.5 litre Proxy Invitational got underway yesterday evening with Round 1 on Dave Jones' 1960s ARRA inspired Blackpool track.

Graham's re-chassied BRM from last year took the win with Paul's Cooper-Climax runner up and Charlie's BRM third.

20.06.08 BRP-BRM completed - see the build feature here.

18.06.08 My latest scratchbuild, the BRP-BRM, had it's first outing on Dave Jones' track in Blackpool yesterday evening.  Here it is in the company of some other cars to be entered in the 2008 half-tonner proxy series:

The model still needs a gearbox cover and the rear part of the exhausts fitting to complete.

19.05.08 This is one of the scratchbuilt cars currently being modelled for the forthcoming UK 1.5litre proxy series:

It is intended to represent Graham Hill's 1962 short-nose Monaco GP BRM.

Next will be a model of the 1964 BRP-BRM.
