See below for my GOLD, RICHARDS and ROBINSON relations living in Gosport, Portsmouth and Portsea, Hampshire, England in the late 18th and early 19th century. I am particularly interested in hearing from descendants of Harriet Gold's elder siblings: - Ann Gold, born December 1813; Margaret Gold, born December 1815; Edward Gold, born July 1818; William Stephen Gold, born January 1820 and Susannah Jane, born March 1821.

I have not investigated any of these will as yet
Portsmouth was a very busy naval port at the time of the Napoleonic Wars. Church Records contain very little information and age at death is not given, making it almost impossible to find any useful information. I can find no trace of the ancestry of Edward RICHARDS and Margaret ROBINSON. I can also find no trace of any grandchildren born in the Portsmouth area. St. Thomas's Church, Portsmouth is now the Cathedral Church of Portsmouth. It, and St. Mary's Portsea, were very popular for marriages, baptisms and burials. Both churchyards were raised in the early 20th century and no monumental records were kept for the churchyards. (Source Portsmouth Record Office.)
