Membership

 

SCAEF is the Scottish affiliate of the Campaign against Euro-Federalism.

 

It is chaired by Eddie McGuire, currently Scottish Chair of the Musicians Union.  Its joint honorary presidents are the former MEPs, Alex Falconer and Alex Smith.

 

SCAEF exists to promote awareness of the dangers posed by the EU to democracy and the economic and social rights of working people in Scotland.  It has organised conferences, debates and fringe meetings at trade union gatherings.  It can provide speakers.  Affiliations are welcome from organisations and individuals. 

 

Current affiliates include UNISON Scotland, TGW Section of Unite (Scotland), several UNISON branches and Kilmarnock, Inverness, Paisley and Clydebank Trades Union Councils.
