Scottish Campaign against Euro-Federalism

Text Box: For progressive and democratic alternatives to EU neo-liberalism and centralisation
Text Box: The Scottish Campaign against Euro-Federalism is the Scottish affiliate of CAEF. It campaigns against the growing centralization of the EU, its increasing use as a vehicle for enforcing directives on privatisation and competition and its erosion of democratic powers of parliaments in member states.
The Scottish Campaign was established in 1996. Today its members include trades councils, trade unions, political parties and individuals. Its two honorary presidents are the former MEPs Alex Falconer and Alex Smith.
SCAEF is currently working with other groups on the Left to campaign against consequences of the Lisbon Treaty, the anti-trade union judgements of the EU Court of Justice and the new treaty revisions to transfer further economic powers.
