My original images of Fonthill Abbey in Wiltshire at Follytowers.com are in need of redrawing.
These are currently all being redrawn with more detail, and amendments where needed. This is being undertaken using 'Rhino 4' (a NURBS modeler) running on a Pentium dual core 2.4 GHz, and a Quadro FX3450 professional graphics card. This card performs well with Rhino as it is an OpenGL type of card, as opposed to Nvidia's Geforce gaming cards. Because of the very large model size of Fonthill, 4 gig of memory is being used on XP 64bit, thus ensuring the 3.2 gig limit of a 32bit system does not hinder things.

These are rough renders created using the Penguin renderer and the NURBS modeler 'Rhino 4'.
They are created using 3D CAD software from existing plans, measurements and descriptions.
Various prints were made of the building before its collapse in 1825, but most only give one or two viewed angles.
The purpose of this project is to see Beckford's Fonthill Abbey from all perspectives.
