UNIFORMED ORGANISATIONS
THE GIRLS' BRIGADE (lst Petts Wood Company) The aim of the Girls' Brigade
is to help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through
self control, reverence and a sense of responsibility to find true enrichment
of life. To help achieve this the girls follow a programme under the headings
of spiritual, physical educational and service, with dance, drama, crafts,
gym, games, marching, badges and much more.
Explorers (aged 5-8 years) Wednesdays 5.00-6.00 p.m.
Juniors (aged 8-11 years) Wednesdays 6.00-7.30 p.m.
Seniors (aged 11-14 years) Wednesdays 7.00-8.30 p.m.
Brigaders (aged 14+) Wednesdays 7.00-8.30 p.m.
All girls are invited to come and join the fun!

BROWNIES and GUIDES
Two Brownie Packs and a Guide Unit meet on the church
premises (although they are not officially "sponsored' by the church). They attend the regular
Parade services. Their activities are based around the the Five Essentials of GirlguidingUK:
Individual caring
Working in small groups
Involvement of the girls in decision making
Balanced and varied programme
Commitment to a common standard - the Girlguiding Promise
Meeting times are:
Brownies (7-10 years)
lst Petts Wood Pack - Thursdays, 5.45 to 7.15 p.m.
8th Petts Wood Pack - Fridays, 6.30 to 7.45 p.m.
Guides (10-14 years)
lst Petts Wood Company - Fridays, 7.00 to 8.45 p.m.
