The choir sings regularly at our services. The choir also contributes fully to the Christmas services of lessons and carols. In addition it aims to prepare at least one special service every year, frequently with the help of other singers who cannot offer a regular commitment. The choir meets every Thursday, from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. and is always glad to welcome new members.

HARMONY

Harmony is an all-girls singing group which was formed a few years ago and has contributed musical items in worship at many of our services, together with performances in concerts held in the church.

Many members of Harmony went on a visit to our "twin church" in Germany, where they sang several items in the Sunday morning service in the Church at Alsenz.  At the closing party on the last night, they sang two popular German folk songs which they had learned and practised in England before leaving on the tour.

CHURCH  ORCHESTRA

The Church orchestra provides an opportunity for instrumentalists who wish to develop and maintain their talent in a relaxed environment. The orchestra plays for some services in our own and other churches, and for entertainment involving a wide variety of music.

Players of any kind of orchestral or band instrument are welcome, irrespective of age. The orchestra includes quite a number of young musicians.

It is not necessary to be connected with Christ Church in any other capacity. Beginners are encouraged, subject to a minimum standard of competence.   See below for a notice about our next concert

The orchestra meets regularly on Thursday evenings from 7.30 to 9.00 p.m. in the Marlborough Hall.
