Faye,
Walking into my first Pole-Fit class I was nervous, not quite knowing what to expect and what the other girls would be like; I needn’t have been. Fortunately the dress code is not heels and a thong so your modesty remains intact throughout!. The girls are all lovely and such a diverse bunch: from students, medics, teachers and stay-at-home mums. I have been attending Pole-Fit classes for a year now and can honestly say that it is the most fun you can have while exercising. I’m not really into the gym or sports but I love the buzz that you get when a new move finally comes together. Some of the moves look scary but Faye guides you through them until you get it. It helps that Faye has a strong background in fitness with a degree in Ba(Hons) Sports Studies – so she can tell you what muscle groups you are working. Pole is an amazing workout and so much fun, I highly recommend that you give it a try!!

Faye
I had my first lesson with Pole-Fit just over two years ago, and have been hooked on pole ever since. I remember aching so much after that first session that it hurt to change gear, but I kept going back. I used to watch the girls in the intermediate class in amazement and think I’d never be able to do the things that they did. Little did I know that the following year I’d be performing a doubles routine in front of a packed theatre in Hertfordshire as part of the Pole Unity performance. Not bad going for a 32 year old with an average physique and no dance or gymnastics background whatsoever!
Faye is a fantastic teacher, really enthusiastic and encouraging, and makes even the most difficult moves seem possible. The classes are a friendly, supportive environment and not populated by 18 year old size zeros as I had originally feared. I’m not exaggerating when I say that pole has changed my life for the better. It’s fantastic exercise, it makes you so strong and toned but doesn’t feel like a chore because it’s such good fun. I always have a great laugh in class and have met some amazing people through pole. Best of all, it’s really increased my self-confidence, wellbeing and energy which has improved all parts of my life. Thank you Faye!

Faye,
It’s coming up to a nearly a year since I started pole fit and I am still enjoying it, if not more each time I go. I wanted to start toning up but I really couldn’t be bothered to go the gym, I wanted something that was different and fun and I definitely found this with pole fit. The classes are for everyone of all ages and sizes and everyone is very friendly. I am currently doing the Intermediate/Advanced course, you can repeat the courses as many times as you want until you feel confident enough to move up. I have been taught by both Faye and Becky and both are fantastic, they have patience and don’t mind how many times you ask them “get back up the pole and show me that move again!”

Faye,
Firstly let me say Congratulations and Thank You for opening of Studio-Fit/Pole-Fit… You have changed my life. I am someone who has never found exercise enjoyable or something to look forward to. In fact the idea of spending 8 hours at work, followed by 1or 2 hours exercise (usually with the same old routines, with less then inspiring instructors), used to fill me with dread… That is until I found POLE-FIT and Faye. POLE-FIT is absolutely BRILLIANT. I, now, not only look forward to the class, but I find myself counting down the hours with growing excitement and anticipation. The classes are never the same, practising moves learnt in previous weeks, but there are always new and more complicated moves included each week. Allowing you to progress further, developing or enhancing strength, flexibility and agility. The classes always seem to fly by because you’re having so much fun, you loose track of time. Faye is a fantastic instructor, she is enthusiastic, is always on hand to give advice and help. If you find a move difficult to do, she shows you alternatives to make the move easier for you. Faye never pushes you beyond your ability or makes you feel self-conscious about not being able to do some of the more complicated moves and transitions. I have found in Faye an inspiring instructor I truly like and trust. In conclusion, if you want a new way of challenging your mind and body, whether as an enhancement to an existing exercise program or a way to start enjoying exercise (like me), then try POLE-FIT and meet new people in a nice and friendly environment. Come join the fun and laughter….. See you at the next course.

I have enjoyed doing both the beginners and beginners advanced course at studio fit. The experience of pole dancing has made me a more confident and happy person. I am more stronger and toned up which has made me a more healthy person. The teaching standard is of a high quality and Faye is great at breaking everything down, she also encourages everybody and makes sure everybody is happy. The pole facilities and other studio facilities are excellant. I dont feel that the course should include men because other girls get self conscious and men are naturally stronger so girls may feel inferior. I would definately recommend this course to my friends and have done so already. I will also be joining the next course. Thanks for being a great teacher Faye.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this beginners course, the atmosphere is fantastic, I was a little worried about everyone else being a size 8 with fantastic confidence all looking at me! But this certainly isn't the case, this is an exercise class-yes-but its also a good laugh. Pole dancing has some pretty scary moves (at first!) and as long as you can approach them with enthusiasm a good time will be had by all -everyone feels daft at first!
Faye is born teacher (+ pole dancer!) and makes the moves look effortless + graceful + sexy, Then I have a go - and the less said the better! She's fab at breaking the moves down + explaining the moves required. The only real thing I would wish more for is more "routine dance" time within the class. And perhaps to see a dance would be something to motivate us all.
The only other draw back is the fact that now and then, as in everyone's lives, I wasn't able to attend some of the sessions. Great Class

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course so far I cant wait to start the next stage. Not only have I met some nice people, but, I have enjoyed learning to dance in a relaxed atmosphere. You concentrate on what your doing so much you don't realise your exercising at the same time. I look forward to coming to the classes every week & would recommend this to anyone who enjoys learning new things & likes to keep fit. I wouldn't change anything about the course, however when people share a pole its not ideal. two people to a pole is much better as you don't spend time waiting.
I don't think the course should include men, as this would make some girls feel uncomfortable. The standard of teaching is high. As we are all learning in a structured way at a good pace. I will be continuing onto all of the courses that are available and am getting a pole of my own to have in the house.
This is a great course and i'm so glad it is available locally for me to do at a reasonable cost. It's fun, un pressured & rewarding.
Thank you!!!

I have nearly completed my 6 week beginner pole dancing course and there are two words I have to describe it..... ABSOLUTLEY FANTASTIC! I have never enjoyed a class so much. You get to have a laugh . keep fit and meet new people. I have already signed for the beginners advanced classes and would not hesitate on recommending the classes to others.
I was amazed at how much you can learn in such a short space of time. Faye is a fantastic teacher - professional and a great laugh at the same time. Before I started the classes I was under the impression you had your own pole to practice on and was disappointed to learn you had to share. This however turned out to be great as I met some lovely people through sharing the pole and it gives you a chance to take a break!!
Finally, you ache and burn, but I can't wait till the next lesson, I really want my own pole, I feel fit, excited and full of energy.
Thanks

I really have enjoyed the beginners pole dancing course. I have to say that I have had aches, pains and of course bruises in places I never thought I would. But it is so addictive - I'm on countdown for the next lesson! I would and in fact have recommended it to others. I think it would be interesting if the course was to include men, but don't think they would have the concentration involved!! I think it is good that the class goes at its own pace, because we've picked things up quicker and we've been able to learn abit more. Which of course must be down to a good teacher!! I definitely will be attending the beginner advanced course - I cant wait to learn more.

With reference to pole fit:- I have thoroughly enjoyed the course, I have gone into this course with an open mind and to 'have a go'. It is a lot harder than people think - as in fitness required, strength, suppleness etc. You have been very friendly, not intimidating at al - pushing us, but not too much too fast - as I am slow at picking things up. dance moves etc.
I have low self confidence, but it has helped me that - especially looking & moving in front of a mirror. It has also made me think about the way I move, walk & hold myself. I would definitely recommend the course to other for fun otherwise. Men could have a go - why not? I don't know about mixed classes though! The class could have some slight padding at the bottom of the pole for my ungainly landings - my poor knees!
The teaching standard is better than I expected - You are professional, fun, bubbly, user friendly and encouraging. I would definitely be keen to carry on time and circumstances allowing. We need some bruise cream on tap! And the course seems to bring out any shoulder weakness.
Thank you Faye for making it so enjoyable. especially feeling rough and tired on a Sunday night - as I do!
Thanks Ann (2006)

What a fantastic class! I got a total body workout (particularly arms and upper body) and it also boosted my self confidence and self image; I did actually feel more attractive and a little more sexy(!) after the classes.
Points to note: I would say anyone considering doing these classes should have a good general level of fitness. The warm up (while good for pole work) needs more stretching for arms and legs - I found my hamstrings and shoulder muscles quite achy for the first few lessons. maybe i'm just getting old!!!
Otherwise excellent!! Niki xxxx (2006)
