I am a Button Badge Collector-If you collect button badges
please join the club !-We do have button badge collectors in the B.C.C.
but the majority of those in the B.C.C. collect metal and enamel of all
sorts. If you are a button badge collector you will find our Newsletters
useful as I always include up to date articles and snippets such as the
one below from the general election a couple of years ago. I use coin
leaves and folders to store my badges. For the larger button badges of
50mm upwards I make my own leaves using a heat sealer-that's how keen
I am! I do limit my collection to British it was the only way to prevent
my house collapsing!! I have many thousands to swap and sell if interested
just email.

Old British Button Badges
Pre-War items are scarce and turn of the century badges
made/issued in the UK are special--one I would love to get is Leicester
Fosse--now Leicester City-this is my team and one of a number that are
out there but very hard to find !

2001 General Election 'quiet ' on
Badge front
The election had such a disappointing
turn out voter wise and this is mirrored with the number of badges to
be found. The only real public interest would appear to have been when
the famous Prescott punch was thrown-How ironic then that a badge was
produced BEFORE any punches were thrown as part of the Labour party's
'Get Ready Show'-the irony being that it really does look as if he is
ready for a fight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!The badge in my opinion is therefore an
absolute classic! As well as the 'Save the Pound' badge shown in the last
NL this rather unusual 'Save the Ton' design has appeared-although I don't
know who has issued it

Queries--Many badges offer
mysteries to solve-they are from long lost clubs or organisations. The
Badge Collectors Circle is always looking to solve such queries and mysteries.
Many actually see this side of the hobby as part of the fun of it! There
is a query section on this site and here is a good example -from the early
1960s-what on earth is/was MANDERLEY all about ?
