INSTRUCTIONAL AND COACHING EXPERIENCE
a. Hombu Deputy Instructor, Budokan New Zealand , 1976. b. Chief Instructor, University of Zambia Karate Club, 1980-5. c. National Chief Instructor, Zambia Karate, 1984-5. d. Chief Coach, Oxford University teams, annual challenge round against Cambridge , 1985. e. Sparring partner, four days a week for three months, to Richard Hall, in Wellington , New Zealand ; he took silver in the New Zealand ITF Nationals, 1986. f. Founding Chief Instructor, University of Kent Karate Club, 1987-96. This club won more medals in the British university nationals, during this period, than any other club before or since, and did so in all categories – male, female, solo, team, kata, kumite, junior, senior. g. Chief Instructor, Great Britain Seidokan, London Hombu. 1996-present; and International Vice President, Dentokan, 2002-present. h. Coach and sparring partner to Andy Roosen. Nottingham 1999-present. Bronze medal, Copenhagen European Open, 1999; Gold medal and Grand Champion, Copenhagen World Open, 2000; and several other medals. |
