| The ASA deemed that all affiliated clubs should adopt a set of rules based on
a a published model club constitution. Some of the model rules are
mandatory, some recommended and some optional. The existing rules were
therefore rewritten during 2007 and 'translated' into the new format.
These new rules were approved by the 2007 AGM and have been approved by the ASA
(another condition of affiliation). The adoption of the new rules does not
affect the everyday operation of the club.
