Out and about in December By Sandra & Frank Gilbert LUCARLEYS Nov 1st
On the1st of October we were back at Lucarley’s club covering for the resident reporter who was away on a shopping trip. Alan Westwood had made a trip across the country and gave us a really good night of all country music. Alan’s first set consisted of thirteen songs and he managed to sing his way through nearly forty numbers by the end of his last spot including several of his own, a few we thought worth a mention were When the deal is done, The Ballad of J R Cash, Rose in Paradise, The Highwayman, Lady Dressed in Black and City of New Orleans. The numbers attending were disappointingly low (did you take a bus load with you Jacky?) for someone with a great voice who dose an all country show. Sandra & Frank |
