St Bernadette's CMC December 4th Steve was a bit under the weather this night so you will have to put up with a few lines from us. Sean and Eddie Whiskey under the bridge were here tonight at the start of what looks like being a busy month for them. They put on a reasonably good show including the popular songs If I said you had a beautiful Body, Just to see you smile, Good hearted Women, Three wooden crosses and one for taxi driver Keith "On the road again". But I did feel the song "It won't seem like Christmas without you" didn't go down to well. Also the night seemed to lack it's normal sparkle, the lower than normal numbers attending and the early leavers probably didn't help. Sandra & Frank HOTEL ELIZABETH Dec 8th Darren Busby was here at the hotel for the Christmas show and as always put on a great night, three sets of popular numbers plus two new ones some Christmas ones and a couple of lively party ones to finish a great night, which with Pete's disco had the dance floor full all night. Paula and Michelle were on door duty as Gwen Taylor had only just come out of hospital following an operation, I am sure you will join with us and wish her a speedy recovery. Sandra & Frank The Boar's Head Country Music Club 22nd December Once again it was live country music at the Rugby club the last two month with the country line dance disco had provided enough funds to put on this night. The night got on the way at 8pm with the line dance disco which continued during the artists breaks, Mike & Vic who are billed as Gringo did three spots of country numbers plus some Christmas songs finishing their last spot at 11.45pm. A really good night out which had a great atmosphere. Our thanks to all who attended and contributed to the buffet and raffle also the ones in fancy dress for adding that extra touch. For any further details on future meetings give Frank a ring 07966176215 or email sfcountry@ntlworld.com or ring Mike Kelly on 01472 231129 Sandra and Frank.
