Welcome to the Tearle Family Website
Meet Arthur Tearle, born 1881 in Stanbridge. You can clearly see from this photo that he is sitting on the porch of an American house. The photo was sent to me by Bob Tearle Chancellor of Missouri (Arthur’s grandson) along with a breathtaking account of Arthur’s adventures in America from the time he arrived at Ellis Island in 1904. Bob’s brother Sam has also contributed to this narrative and you can read Arthur’s story though the eyes of his own family, and catch up with where he fits on the Tearle family tree.
