Joybringer is a 65 feet luxury motor yacht, which can accommodate up to 8 guests plus crew in five Cabins. Normally, it is used by Captain Owner, family, and friends.
The successful applicant will be completely honest and trustworthy, a resourceful, friendly, individual with a relaxed happy personality.
Applicants must be competent in general housekeeping, and have at least basic cooking skills, knowledge of oriental cusine a distinct advantage, and adequet English.
The successful applicant will also be trained with all the skills required to assist the captain as a deckhand however preference will be given to someone with previous hands on experience in painting and mechanical work perhaps maintaining own vehicle for example.
House keeper Job description
The successful applicant will help the family with the day to day running of the yacht as a house. Duties would include for example, general housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, shopping, ironing.
Deck hand Job description
Maintenance of the vessel. This might include washing the vessel, cleaning the engines, cleaning the hull when the vessel is out of the water, painting the hull or varnishing the woodwork etc. assisting with the ropes, fenders, etc. when the vessel arrives at or departs from the dock. Don't worry if you have never been on a boat before, the captain will teach you these skills.
The vessel is currently berthed in Greece. It is expected the successful applicant will join the vessel there. The vessel will normally cruise for approximately two to three months each year. Between cruises, the vessel remains at its berth, giving the captain and crew an opportunity to deal with general maintenance.
In principle based on approximately 40 hour week in practice the hours will vary, from perhaps 20 hrs per week out of season to 60 hours when cruising with guests on board.
The successful applicant will be resident on the vessel at all times during his/her contract.
The successful applicant will be offered a contract, subject to six months trial.
The package includes paid holidays, all travelling expenses, including return flight from and to your country of residence, medical insurance, subject to medical examination, all living expenses including food, accommodation and clothes will be provided. The successful applicant will also receive a personal allowance starting at Euro 240 equivalent - approximately $300.00 per. month, rising to $500 per month with experience, and dependant on Social/medical package.

Joybringer is a British registered vessel the Captain and owner is a British citizen the successful applicant will be provided with a British seaman’s passport to enable free travel in the EU. After the 6 months trial and subject to the approval of British authorities
