About Pointe West Performances
“Whimsical and profound” aptly describes Ms. Winland's relationship to her nonprofit arts consortium, Pointe West Performances. Since that first act of serendipitous insanity in 1996 when PWP was founded, Ms. Winland has accumulated an impressive array of directorial and choreographic credits: 11 full length ballets; 6 original musical theater productions; 5 holiday touring productions; 12 concert touring productions; 1 film; 3 opera ballets; 22 permanent repertory pieces (original choreography); and 38 permanent repertory pieces (historic classical repertory). Since its inception under the direction of Ms. Winland, PWP has flourished as a vital and prolific production company in collaboration with innovative professionals in these diverse genres.
