Week 11

Hi everybody, as I am still having problems with my computer, it keeps stalling and rebooting for no reason in the middle of something, I'm going to upload things in dribs and drabs. All the graphics have been done it is just the analysis that is to come, I'm sorry about this but I will get there some how.
I gave out the BTBA membership cards on Wednesday evening but some how I forgot the WTBC membership cards to those of you that have joined through the Major league, sorry.
Right now for a look at last Wednesday evenings goings on, the number of "200" games went up to 51 this week but the number of "600" series came down again to 11 but that did include another "700" as well. The scratch average game was down half a pin on last weeks figure at 184.2 , but as I said last week that is helping to push the seasons scratch average up, we've now broken through the 183 barrier at 183.11 .
Now back to Wednesday evenings individual achievements, first Congratulations to Michael Bailey for his 711 series, hard luck to who came up 1 short of his 2nd "700" in 2 weeks with a series.
Now for a look at the , in spite of the fact that there were 51 '200' games there was only one over '250' this week and that was by who had a game in his 3x200 setof , the next best game amongst the men was a by who also had a in his 3x200 series of . There was no more games over 240 so I've had to look at those in the 230's, 1st up was a by in his 3x200 set of and the only other was a by in his series, sub had a series and that's it for the men.
Now for a look at the girls, first up, and with the only other game over 240, was with a in her 3x200 series of next best series was by who had games of and in her set, not far behind was who games of and in her series, and last but not least was with a game. OK that's your lot folks.

Week 10

Hi everybody, as you will probably have guessed by now I have managed to gain access to the web site, I will be putting all the info about Wednesday evening on soon.

Week 10 part 2

First of all because of my computer breakdown I have lost everybodys e-mail addresses, so I would appreciate it if you could all contact me either directly or through the web site so that I can add you to my address book, thanks in anticipation.
OK now for the good news, I have got the League sanction and membership cards back from the BTBA at long last, I will attempt to distribute them Wednesday evening.
Right now for a look at last Wednesday evenings goings on, the number of "200" games fell back to around average at 47 and the number of "600" series came down slightly to 13 but that did include another 2 "700's" as well. The scratch average game was down on last weeks fantastic figure but still remain at a very creditable 184.7 , needless to say that is helping to push the seasons scratch average up, it's now just short of 183 at 182.99 .
Now back to Wednesday evenings individual achievements, first Congratulations to Steve Griffiths for his 762 series, that's his 2nd in 2 weeks, also in the "700's" was Steve Ferguson with a 703 series and his second of the season.
Now for a look at the , last week when there was more "200" games than this week there were not many over 240 unlike this week, there are loads. First up and not surprisingly was with games of and in his 3x200 set of , next was with a game in series and close behind was who had a in his series and they were playing against each other. There was nothing in the 250's but when we come to all these with a game and series, then there was with a game and series. Then we had with a and series and then there was with a game in his 3x200 set of and finally had a 2x200 series of .
Now for a look at the girls, had a game in her series, had a game. had games of and in her series and finally had a game. Sorry to anybody else who thinks they should have had a mention but that's it.

Week 9

Hi everybody, very sorry there was no Week 8, but as I mentioned to some of you Wednesday evening, I had a computer breakdown last week. The computer itself has been mended for over a week but I have been unable access the web site with updates, because the programme that uploads the files refuses to operate. I have installed another one, but as I have long since mislaid the info to access the web site, I was unable to make that work either.
Wednesday evening was fantastic, the most "200" games of the season at 64 and there was 15 "600" series which included a "700" as well, needless to say the weeks scratch average game was the best of the season at 187.65 .
Still no news from the BTBA I'm afraid, but I'm not surprised we were a bit later than I wanted to be sending it all off.
Now back to Wednesday evening, first Congratulations to Steve Griffiths for his 757 series, that's his 2nd of the season and the 4th in the league so far.
Now for a look at the , as I have already mentioned, there were 64 on Wednesday so I am going to have to be a bit selective. Best game was a by who also had a in his 3x200 set of , next up was who had a game in his 3x200 series of , had the 3rd best game with a in his series. Now for the series worth mentioning had 3x200 games in his set and also had a 3x200 series of and last one with a 3x200 set was who had a .
Now for a look at the girls, had a game in her series, had games of and in her set, had games of and in her series and lastly had a game, well done all of you.

Week 7

Hi everybody, still no news from the BTBA yet, but that's not unusual as I said last week, "it normally take 2-3 weeks" and they've got the postal strikes to blame anyway.
Thanks to the teams involved in postponements for getting thing arranged, I will include the results as soon as possible.
Now back to Wednesday evening, first Congratulations to Alex Kimpton for his 720 series, that's the 3rd so far this season. I'm not sure whether that was his 1st ever or not it's certainly the 1st he's recorded in the Major League. Apart from that it would seem that not everybody found the lanes easy, because this was the first week that the leagues scratch average game has fallen below 180 this season. The scratch average game came in at 178.9 which was a bit surprising as there were still 42 "200" games which is close to the weekly average, but I suppose that with there only being 7 "600" series and that included the 700 hundred might have some bearing on it.
Now for a look at the , as I have already mentioned the best set last week was the by who had games of and in his 3x200 series, was next with his 3x200 series of and had a game in his set.
Now for a look at the girls, the best series was by , with games of , and in her set, team mate was close behind with a series which included games of , and . other ladies games worth mentioning were a by , then we have games of and by and finally her team mate had games of and , well done all of you

Week 6

Hi everybody, no news from the BTBA yet, but that's not unusual, it normally take 2-3 weeks if you don't get in early and unfortunately 5 weeks is not quick enough to beat the rush.
There's a position round coming up in week 10, so the teams with outstanding postponements, you need get them played off as soon as possible, I need the result by the end of bowling on week 9.
Now back to Wednesday evening, the scratch average game returned at 181.8 , that's down slightly on last week but the number of "200" games went back up to 44 and the number of "600" series was down to 10 all of which means the seasons scratch average is still around the 182.7 mark.
Now for a look at the , in spite there being 44 "200" games there was only 2 over 240 in the whole league, but there was far to many 230's to mention them all. The best game was a by in his series, the weeks best mens series was by in his 3x200 set of . Next best was by who had 1x200 game in his series and close behind was with his 3x200 set of , had a series and had a set.
Now for a look at the Ladies, the leagues only other game of over 240 was by with a game in her series, but the leagues best series this week was a by her 3x200 set which included a game, had a game and finally had games of and in her series.

Week 5

Hi everyone, another good week, the seasons first 300 game, a new league record Team Scratch game of 788 by S G F C , but they were 10 pins short of the leagues Team Scratch series record, more of that later. Now for some details, surprisingly it would seem that not everybody found the lanes to their liking, the number of "200" games dropped below 40 for the first time this season, in spite of all 18 teams bowling, it came in at 39 and that was counting the "300". The number of "600" series held up to the weekly average of 12 but even that included the "700", the scratch average game returned at 183.48 which was slightly up on last week and helps us maintain the seasons average of 182.96 which is pretty good really.
I have sent off the BTBA sanction application and membership details, yes it has taken 5 weeks not the 3 as hoped for and even now there are still some bowlers who we can't trace any payment for or have not told me how they are joining.
Now for a look at the , first and foremost Congratulations to Will Line for his 300 game and series. Next was team mate with games of , and for great series. Then we have with a game and series, then there was with a game. Then we have a number of 240 games starting with a by in his series, then there was a by in his series. There's still some more Junior bowler with a in his series, then came and both with games.
Now for a look at the Ladies, best game this week was by who had a game in her series, then we have with 2 games in her set , next was by and finally with a game.

Week 4

Hi everyone, first of all apologies for my mistake last week in not putting up the results graphic, please put it down to a senior moment. Now for last Wednesday evening, I've updated the graphics etc., but I'm sorry but you are going to have to wait for my comments, as I'm going out today and don't have time to do the analysis right now, sorry.

Week 4 part 2

Last Wednesday evening returned a scratch average game of 183.2 which means that the seasons average so far is standing at 182.8 , the number of "200" games was down slightly at 182.8 but considering that we had a postponement that's not bad, the number of "600" series held up at about average at 11 .
Now for a look at the , again this week in spite of the reasonably high number of "200" games there was only 4 over 240, still here we go, the best game of the week was a by . The weeks best series was from who had the 2nd best game of the week a in that, next was who had a in his series and had a 3x200 set of .
Now for a look at the Ladies, the best game was a by in her series, next up was who had a game, not far behind was with games of and in her set and finally with a game.

Week 3

Hi everyone, once again thanks to everybody that has paid up their BTBA & WTBC dues, I did say that I planned to send everything away this weekend, but owing to the fact that I forgot to get a form signed by the league president, and some anomalies between, what members said on the form that you filled in, and the report of what Steve finds in the envelopes each week. At the moment 4 more bowlers have said that they have paid than Steve has had money for, so obviously, until I resolve the problem I cant send anything off.
Now back to last Wednesday night, another good week, the 1st "700" of the season, the most "200" games so far at 50 and so with 12 "600" series as well it's not surprising that the leagues scratch average game for the week was 182.96 which is helping to maintain the seasons average to date at 182.7 .
Now for a look at the , a lot of "200" games this week but not very many big ones, the best was a from in his 3x200 set of , next was a game which had in his 3x200 series of needless to that was the weeks best. was next up at then came with a game in his series, also with a was Junior that's his second mention in 2 weeks. That's it for big games, but the following all bowled 3x200 series and are worth a mention with , with a set and finally with .
Now for a look at the ladies, not many this week, the best was a from , had games of and , there was 3 more smaller ones, but I will leave it there.

Week 2

Hi everybody, thanks to everybody that has paid up their BTBA & WTBC dues so far, to everyone else please remember, they should be paid next week and I will be sending all the stuff off to the BTBA next weekend. Anybody who has not paid up by then will have to wait for their membership cards.
Thanks to the 17 teams who completed and returned the forms last week but there always has to be one who can't manage a simple task and likes to make my job more difficult, that's it I 've had my moan.
Now back to last Wednesday night, we were up to full strength and although there was a drop in the number of "200" games down to 42 and "600" series to 10 , it was still a reasonably good evening, the scratch average game fell to 181.1 but that still keeps it at 183.1 for the season so far.
Now for a look at the , the best game was a by junior bowler in his 3x200 series of , the only other male game over 240 was by . The best male series was by with a 3x200 set of .
Now for a look at the girls, the whole leagues best series this week was a by who also had a game in her 3x200 set, had a game and not far behind with a was .

Week 1

Hi there everybody, to old league members nice to see you all again, and Welcome once again to the new teams that have joined us this season.
OK now down to business, what fantastic start to the season, a scratch average game of 185.33 and that's the highest ever 1st week average. Not surprisingly there was 46 "200" games as well, so nobody will be surprised when I say that there was 14 "600" series and that with 2 teams missing.
Now for a look at the , best game this week was a from new league member and very close behind was with a game. Next up was a from then 3 bowlers with a game, , and finally who also had an impressive series, but the best set of the evening was from who had a game in that.
Right that's it for this week, see you all Wednesday.

Minus Week 1

Hi folks, thanks to everybody who attended the Season 2009/10 AGM on Wednesday evening.
Welcome to the new teams that have joined us this season, I hope that you enjoy it. As you are aware we will be running with 18 teams again this year which means that we will go twice round and add in a couple of extra position rounds to try and make the season as near to a 40 week one as possible.
You will see that I have put the new schedule up and I will get the other bits on as soon as possible.

Just in case anybody might want to refer the final standings and the various other bits for last few of seasons, I have put them on separate web sites so that people can refer back to them, see the "Years Ago", drop down in the links panel.
