   Ellis Rogers has acquired a specialised knowledge of social dances of the 18th & 19th centuries; he teaches, demonstrates and lectures on this subject around the world.
    He is the author of `The Quadrille' a practical guide
to the origin, development & performance of this form
of dance. He also translates early French dance manuals.
    Ellis & his wife Christine host `Quadrille Club' once a month in London. This is a full day (11.00--17.00) when the social dances of the 19th century are taught in detail and then danced for social amusement.
    Ellis is based in north Kent but travels extensively to teach, lecture or act as MC.for 19th century balls.
