I wanted to portray an image of the crucfixion that dealt with both death and resurrection. The x-ray efect on christ's right foot is meant to bring the pain to a modern point of view, to evoke a nail separating and crushing bones, and think about the horror of being crucified, while his blood, his inner- self evaporates into realms which we cannot reach or understand.
