Suspension and reinforcing

This is the support frame to carry the batteries ( left hand. and left centre photos ), and the extra springs ( right centre ) to help the standard Mini subframe ( right hand photo )

I now have a steel tube frame to take the extra weight of the batteries, and transfer that
weight straight into the coil-over shock absorbers, which are fitted in addition to the
the standard Mini rear suspension. The idea here is to spread the loading out, so the
standard subframe and rubber cones don't have to take all the weight.

Ten Optima batteries weigh 550 pounds, so I need the suspension to be able to take that kind of weight without complaint.
