( This is an old family joke: Years ago my grandfather wrote "Supa Pog Rools" right up at the top of the wall inside our garage, to amuse my Uncle, who is known as "Pog". Years later when I inherited the garage, I spray-painted "Minis Rool" in 6-inch high letters on the wall, graffiti-style. Yep, I'm insane.... and yes, the "Supa-Pog rools" is still up there...) |

This is an ongoing project of mine, a 1974 Electric Mini Pickup. When I got it, it was in a really sorry state, having had the usual amount of bashing, neglect and general Mini-murdering perpetrated upon it. |

Another of my interests is Electric Cars. Being
a member of the Electric
Vehicle Discussion List,
and reading about people's adventures with their electric cars has made me want one myself. And what better way to learn than by converting one yourself ? |

Admittedly, this isn't the best vehicle to start with... but I'm kind of fond of it now. |

Future plans? Well, the poor motor is getting rather hot, since it is being asked to do a lot to shove a 2000 lbs car around with no gearbox to help it. So the first line of attack is to fit an electric blower, then I might need to refit a proper gearbox if the blower's not enough. Or just save up to buy a Netgain 9 inch Warp motor, Supra diff and one of Otmar's Godzilla 1K controllers! |
