Nalle won Best AVNSC at East of England - Judge Mrs V Foss, and was short listed in the group by Mr D Cavill (Toveri Finnish Spitz)
Nalle was the first Finnish Lapphund to win a class once the breed was promoted to rare breed status, winning Best AVNSC under John James at Herts 2002, and going onto a breed first - reserve BIS
on 1/4/02 the breed became of age - and were allowed to compete against other breeds, Nalle won Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified under John James, and then went onto be the Breeds first major winner, picking up the RBIS spot.
Nalle means 'Teddy Bear' in Finnish, and I think you will agree that he is aptly named.
At the Finnish Lapphund Club of GB's bred assessment day, where assessments were carried out by Finnish expert Marja Talvitie, her written critique of Nalle at 5 months of age was as follows: Strong male, good bone, good strong head needs better stop. Good foreface. Good ears of good size. Well angulated in front, almost too much angulation in rear, nice topline. Good tail set and carriage. Good top coat. Very nice temperament. Moves with too long a step but as a puppy very good. 'Excellent'
