Looking at this little collection with the benefit of hindsight (or, as it's the internet, should that be hindsite?), it is probably fair to say that it verges from the sublime to the ridiculous. Many of the images in this section were entered in the www.b3ta.com Photoshop Challenge, so I didn't actually choose the subjects. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Most of the time I've tried not to be too gratuitously insulting, but when the subjects are the Royal Family or Paul Daniels, it's hard not to be.
There is something both motivating and lazy in being given a weekly subject to chop up in Photoshop. Sometimes the immediacy and (and even cruelty) of people's responses surprises me. It seems that we always reveal ourselves in the act of creation, no matter how trivial it appears. Anyway, now I've started to establish that I can use Photoshop (up to a point), I suppose I should find my own subjects again and leave the celebrities alone for a while. I can feel a whole new section coming on.
I'll just have to finish this site first.
