Marie is the new Chairman of the Hertford Art Society. She has been a member for seven years and is largely self taught. This painting was produced for a breast cancer charity event at which artists were invited to produce work of this size and with this title. Marie decided to paint the pot of geraniums on her garden patio. She prefers working in acrylic but also works in other media and paints landscapes and figurative subjects. Her work is fairly representational although she would like to develop a style which is more impressionistic. If her time as Chairman still allows her to practise her art during the excellent practical sessions in the Art Society's programme, she might just make it!!
