In our quest to learn, understand and improve our guitar playing, it is both interesting and useful to study historical and modern works of art that feature the guitar. It helps us to understand much about style, technique, construction of instruments and interpretation.

The paintings are not shown in any form of order, this is necessary as it is useful to mix the modern with the old.
