Reviews of Gentle Reminder

Quite introspective for Ed in a way. This is almost more of a poem or prose piece than anything but is full of wonderful images, scents and feelings. The only thing that mars the piece is the dialog which could have done a little more realism in places. Its a good story about clearing out cobwebs and starting afresh. Reminds me that the spring cleaning is well overdue :(

This is something unexpected and different from the pen of Ed Rackstraw. Extremely well written, thoughtful and thought provoking. Very enjoyable to read. All your writing is good Ed, but I must sayI enjoyed this story very much. More please.

I was very taken with this story. The true reflections of feelings for a lost one I can definitely relate to. The flowers were an excellent symbol of the love and memory portrayed in this story. Everybody in their life has experienced death, and all will be able to see some similarities to their experiences. Brilliant!

I have to disagree with the other reviews. A very important person once said "Where's the ****ing conflict?" It applies here. First rule of fiction. No good having the confilct start on page 5 because nobody will read that far, however pretty the prose may be.In a short story, it's the story that matters, not the pretty words. We want a feel of the setting, not a poem about it.
