| Problem: |
Ed FM will sometimes seem to get confused between
players, and start fading the wrong player.
|
| Reason: |
This is a bug that's been in Ed FM practically ever since
the first line of code was written! Occasionally, Windows
will transfer playing between sound cards without letting
anyone know. When this happens, Ed FM still thinks (for
example) that Player 2 is playing out through the second
sound card, when in fact it's now playing through the first.
|
| Workaround: |
To avoid this problem (this might sound weird, but it
should eliminate the problem) never skip Player
2 whilst Player 1 is empty. If this situation does arise,
Ed FM will keep botching up until you unload both players
at the same time. With both players empty, you should be
able to proceed as normal.
|
| Situation: |
To remove this bug simply would mean Ed FM could not
play compressed files. To fix it properly would mean
a complete re-write of the way Ed FM interfaces with
the MCI (Media Control Interface) of Windows, something
which we don't really have time to do. So for the time
being, I'm afraid you're going to have to live with it.
