Arthurlie went down 3-1 at Newlandsfield as the home side raced into a 2-0 lead in the first half with strikes from John Sweeney and Bryan Dingwall, Pollok should have been further ahead but some great goal keeping from Neil Parry kept the score at 2 and Joe Andrew offered hope on the half time whistle with a super goal to reduced the deficit. The second half was saw Arthurlie play much better but they couldn't get the leveler and their task was hampered when Graham Dale was shown his second yellow for a poor challenge on Hardie, Pollok took full advantage of the extra man when Bryan Dingwall scored with 12 minutes remaining to kill the game and the points stayed at Newlandsfield.
