A mountaineering project
In 2002 the Tibet Mountaineering Department and Eco Himal created a school to provide
the Tibetan mountain climbers with a basic education. Mountain climbers learn English,
written Tibetan, Chinese, and geography, and take theoretical and practical courses in
their discipline.
This project has been run jointly by Eco Himal UK and Eco Himal Italia and the Italian Ev-K2-CNR committee.
