CLUB HISTORY:

Linby Colliery Welfare Ladies Football Club was founded in 1997, Linby ran both successful under 14 and under 18s teams. In their first season the under 18s became league champions and cup runners up in the Notts Imperial Youth League.

Girls football in Hucknall evolved from a group of 12 year olds meeting on the local park for a kick around. The girls where taken under the wing of a mother of one of the girls and they were soon playing organised games. Throughout the following years the girls joined a number of boys clubs before forming there own football club in 1997 which caters for girls only.

Linby Colliery Welfare Men's F.C welcomed the girls to Linby and provided them with the facilities at there idyllic Church Lane ground. Though Linby Ladies use the Linby Colliery Welfares name they are completely self sufficient and self financing. More in depth information can be found in our archives, please select a season below:
