Recording
At Playing Aloud we offer cost effective recording to enable you to post your songs on myspace or burn to cd for demos to assist in getting gigs, selling to your fans etc..
Recording Details
The recording is normally done in Room 3 as it is the nearest to the control room. The recording control room is currently very small - see right. This will hopefully change in the near future.
We can record up to 8 tracks at once on the recording PC so with a typical rock band we usually record drums with 6 or 7 mics and a guide guitar or bass. When the rythm part is solid, other instruments and vocals are then added. It is also possible to record 'live' in the studio. The recording software incorporates a useful suite of plug-ins with delays, equalisers etc.
Recording time is charged at the bargain price of £12 per hour (or £14 if you use our drum kit).
Recording can be done presently on any week day in the daytime or on Saturday daytime. Mixing can be also be done on weekday evenings at £6 per hour.
