PA & Equipment Hire
At Playing Aloud we offer a range of services for customers who wish to hire PA or backline equipment for their performances. If required we can deliver, setup and run the PA system for you (essential for the large system). Prices are generally per night or 24 hours if agreed. Transport from £4 (locally). Note, all power is expressed in watts rms (wrms) per channel (pch). "Music power" is about double the rms figure. PA hire prices include all necessary leads. Connection diagrams supplied.
Small PA Rig (300 Watts, Vocals Only) – From £20 + £100 cash deposit
- Mixer: 4 mic inputs + cd / mp3 in

Optional Extras

This setup is suitable for vocal only PA at small pub gigs or providing music at a party.
Medium PA Rig (700 Watts, Vocals & Instruments) – From £40 + £200 cash deposit
- Mixer: 6 mic inputs & digital effects
- Power amp: stereo, 350/500wrms pch
- Speakers: pair 15", max 500wrms, 4/8 ohm + stands
- Following recent speaker upgrades we can now offer 350wrms pch or 500wrms pch systems at the same price using quality McGregor PS15 or Peavey UL15 speakers.

This setup is suitable for medium sized local venues up to the size of the Travellers Rest. Note minimum setup time is about one and a half hours, two hours is more comfortable.
Largest PA Rig (2000 Watts, Vocals, Instruments & Drums) – From £120
This setup is the same as the Large PA but features a second set of front of house speakers plus 600 wrms pch amplifier.– £20
This is suitable for larger venues such as the Duke of Wellington and can give a clear vocal sound even over extreme metal and punk bands.

At least 24 hrs notice is advisable although we can usually supply 'on the day' if necesssary. Local orders can normally be delivered for a small fee, see above for prices.
