There’s a lot of talented artists out there, so if people don’t already believe they can draw they feel they have a lot to measure up to. But remember:

Don’t ever let people put you off: the world is full of them: people that will laugh at your first efforts because they don’t want you to develop and put them in the shade. They know that where there is passion there will be progress so they try and nip your passion in the bud by mocking any early lack of control you have over your tools.

But: If you can sit behind a wheel and follow the contours and line of the road you can follow the contours and lines of anything you want to draw, it’s just a matter or confidence and practice.

And painting is just a matter of drawing with colour.
