Leeds Evening League

This is played on Wednesday evenings starting at a 7.00 p.m.  Each Club provides one or more 5-player teams in one of two divisions. The time control is set to 35 moves in the first 1hr 15mins, and then another 15 mins to finish the game. This is the standard speed.

2008 Winners:  Div 1: Rose Forgrove 1. Div 2:  Leeds University

2007 winners: Div 1: Alwoodley “A”. Div 2: Alwoodley “C”

 

The Mini League

This involves 3-player teams, with a handicapping system which ensures that players with a modest grade may well end up in a winning team. Standard speed.

The Rapidplay LeagueStarting in 2007, this also involved 3-player teams. It has a 30-30 format: two games, one as Black and one as White with 30 mins on the clock: Rapid speed. New Trophy

This is for individuals with a Yorkshire grade of 125 or over. Played on selected Wednesdays. You do not have to be a member of a Club to join in. Standard speed.
